The "New" Climbing League

Over the past few months, you have become accustomed to us embarking on a major service innovation and introducing new features. Most recently, in cooperation with the climbing portal climb.sk, we have created a new, more interactive online league for you, where you no longer have to wait for our staff to upload your climbs, but you will have the league's updates in your own hands.

How does the "new league" work?

The new league will operate on a regular monthly basis. By registration on the portal climb.sk You get the opportunity to write down the routes you climb yourself, creating a kind of diary. Based on your diaries, a ranking based on points will be created. Points are awarded according to the difficulty of the route. There are two categories left: CLIMBER and RELAX.

However, the concept of these categories is changing. The CLIMBING category is evaluated based on quality - points for the 10 most difficult climbs, and the RELAX category is evaluated based on quantity - points for the 100 best climbs up to 7+. The prize can only be won in one category - if I place in the top 3 places in the CLIMBING category, I am no longer entitled to the prize in the RELAX category.

Advantages of the "new league"

The new league not only offers a greater degree of up-to-dateness and clarity, but also allows us to build new routes during the league. If during a given period we cancel a route that you have climbed and build a new one, it will still remain in your diary, even though it will no longer be displayed in the guide. With the creation of the "new league", we have created an online, up-to-date guide to all routes on K2 and through it you will be able to follow changes - announcements about canceled routes and new routes, etc. The biggest advantage is that you will get a tool to track your own progress in the form of a diary and you will be able to easily compare what you climbed a year ago and what you are climbing now.

This new system will also give us the opportunity to reward annual league winners and track which roads are most popular and therefore which roads to build for you.
