Open Climbing Championship for Children & Youth 2013

MSR 2013

Competitors will climb 3 routes (difficulty) in the qualifying round. The final round will decide who will become The Masters and Mistress of Slovakia for the year 2013.

Climbers can (optionally) compete in bouldering and speed climbing. There will be 4 bonus boulders to complete. You can win a price for each climbed boulder. The Speedclimbing win top three climbers in each category.

Open Climbing Championship for Children & Youth 2013

Categories:

  • B: 13 – 15 years old (1998-2000)
  • A: Up to 12 years (2001 and younger)
  • Within the category A – "A10" under 10 years (2003-2013)

Registration Fees:

  • €3 – members – SHS JAMES or another climbing organization with a valid membership card
  • 6€ – non-members

Programme:

  • 8:00 Registration
  • 9:00 End of registration
  • 9:30 Common warm-up
  • 10:00 Start
  • During the race climbers may try bouldering and speed climbing
  • 16:30 Final round – Category B, A
  • 18:00 Results – B, A, A10.

Rules for climbers

Climbing ::: Category A (TOP ROPE, FLASH), category B (FLASH):
Children will be divided into 3 groups. Each group will climb a route on their own. Then, the routes will be changed. There are 3 routes to compete. The time limit for one route to climb is 5 minutes. The sum of points for all 3 routes will tell who the winners are. The maximum points climbers can get for each route is 30pts. Top 8 girls and 8 boys from category B, A go to final.

Bouldering ::: It will be prepared 4 bonus boulders. Number of attempts is unlimited, but the price for boulder can win only once.

Speed ::: Speed climbing route is measured. The top three in each category win a prize.

Referee, the Referee and protests ::: The referee counts points for each climber. The main referee is responsible for the results. There is a possibility to protest against the decision of the referee - protest fee - 30 €. When protest is mistaken, the fee gets the organizer.
